Katya Ilina is a Russian born and Toronto based portrait and fashion photographer. Her works explore themes of cultural identity of people and their environments in the context of globalisation.
Having grown up in Russia, a culture on the crossroads of Europe and Asia, she spent several years living and working in countries like the UK, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the US and Canada. This allowed Ilina to see and experience interconnections between the cultures while reflecting back on her personal identity. Thus, her artistic influences range from Fauvists and Russian avant-garde painters to symbolism of nature in Asian arts.
Katya’s works were exhibited in multiple cities in the UK and South Korea.
Services: portrait, editorial, campaign, lookbook, events, and others.
